Children ages 3-5 most often benefit from services taking place within their preschool program. This allows the therapist to collaborate with the education team, problem-solve around difficult times of the day, and ensure that the classroom environment is supportive of the child's needs. Preschoolers with IEPs fall into this category.
Children who are not currently enrolled in a preschool program, are school-age, or are in an academic-year preschool program and qualify for extended school year (ESY) services will receive services at our clinic in Gorham.

Yes, a referral for an evaluation or services can be sent by the child's Child Development Services IEP coordinator. Kiddos that don't fall into the CDS category will require a physician referral.

Yes. School occupational therapy is provided based on a child's academic needs. Outpatient services can capture the child's performance at home, sensory needs, and other areas that are not on the child's IEP.

Absolutely! We highly value collaboration and are constantly learning from and educating other types of service providers. An interdisciplinary team provides more holistic support for you and your child.
